Here is one of our best and still on going cases we have been doing since 1997!! It's Spooky!! ![]()
Click on the GHOST above to watch News Video Taken on Holloween 2009!

Let me see where do I start? Oh Yes, It was around the winter of 1853 just 10 years before the Civil War started, A man and his young to be bride had moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas from Ft. Smith Arkansas to get married and start a new life!
Look at ![]()
Right side of Front door, next to the right column." Do you see a figure of a Women in a long Dress,Floating in Air?" Notice you can't see the Bay Window behind the figure! (is this the Ghost Hollow Lady? Or Judge Walkers Daughter Mary?) This is what we call "shadow People"! The picture was taken on the same day she had died, but in 2007, and won the award down below for 2008, by our own CASPER !
They Had A new two-story wood cabin on the top of East Mountain (Mount Sequoyah) over looking the Hollow, where on this night, this young bride has a date with FATE ! On her wedding night and with out removeing her wedding dress, she leaned over the fire place to stir the fire! just then a spark popped on to her dress setting it ablaze, Running and screaming hysterically, she runs out the back and down into the hollow below, setting the Hollow on fire! She lay screaming until her new Husband and slaves had got to her at the bottom of the now burning Hollow! They then took her to the Doctor in town, where she died soon after! During the coming years, history has lost track of her name and that of her young Husbands,So its hard to track! But we know she was buried on the land where the Walker Mansion still stands, that is until in the late 1960's where the owners had her body removed and reburied down in Ft. Smith! And the husband did leave Fayetteville right after his young brides death, and was never heard from since! As for the cabin, it was sold by the builder time and time again, people always not staying long, cause of strange goings on in and around the Cabin and Hollow! Until the Civil War, the cabin was used by the Union Army as a Supply Depot. It was said that it was burn down by union troops at the end of the war! In 1872 Judge David Walker purchased the land!

From that day to this day we have reports from people who still see & hear her screams while she keeps going on reliving her wedding night year after year after year!! I my self have hear her 7 times, But you see I have an eage! I live in Ghost Hollow!! You ask were in Fayetteville is Ghost Hollow? Well when it first happen in 1853, it was part of the Hollow at the south end of Mount Sequoyah, running down to Hwy.16 Huntsville Rd. But over the last 50 years their has been more reports of her and other Paranormal goings on down on the East side of Mount Sequoyah going in around what is now the Cliff Apts. off of Crossover and 265 So. ( see ASK SIGNS, and the story of"has any body see the Lady of Ghost Hollow?) This whole area is all a big Hollow and there cabin sat right on the top south end of the Hollow! Plus I think that because of all the people & Kids that live there at the Ciffs apts. , she went to where the people were. And also their have been people who have died while living in the Cliff Apts. And it is know that Ghost latch on to other spirits to keep them company! Most of our Cases come from in side the Hollow were the Cliff Apts are! So Me and SIGNS Have done investigations into Ghost Hollow Every year since 1997, and I guess you would say, and so does the Media! that we are the Experts on Ghost Hollow! So we look at Ghost Hollow as: the whole top of the South end of the east side of Mount Sequoyah and East Mountain and borders on Huntsville Rd. and Hwy. 16 to Happy Hollow Rd. to Crossover and 265 South. And if you go and stand in the Cliff Apts. And look around you will see ONE BIG HOLLOW!! And this is Ghost Hollow. Plus Old Newspaper reports that we read said that the hollow is the only un-build land area in Fayetteville left to build on.The only land that was like that till 1993 was where the cliff Apts. are off Crossover, and that was because of the Legend no body wanted to Build there, except for "a horse ranch"that was down in the bottom of the hollow, these were the only people that had lived there since the 1860s, and this had been used for the butterfield stage threw the late 1800s!! then Lindsey paid a good price for the horse ranch and started building the first part of the Cliffs and open them around 1993 and he kept building until he build into every part of the Hollow! The reason I took so much time to explain to you its location is because about 2 to 4 E-Mails a Month come in to us wanting to know where Ghost Hollow is? As far as we know the Williams Family of Fayetteville still owns the Mansion, they purchased it from the Knerr Family who got it from the Walkers in 1910. The Walker Mansion was a wedding gift from Judge David Walker for his Daughter Mary who got married in 1873, it was build on the every same spot of land that the young brides cabin once stood. The Judge in later years moved into the mansion with his daughters Family because of bad health. The next year on Sept. 30,1879 The Judge was killed by being thrown from his carriage while at the Washington, Co. Fair !! From that day on the Mansion itself became part of the Ghost Hollow legend, as it was said to be Haunted! From time to time it was reported that the slave help would not come to work or stay over night at the Mansion, they reported seeing the Ghost of Judge Walker walking down the stair case! And in later years the ghost of Mary his daughter was seen from time to time foalting threw rooms in the house! ( If you look above at the picture of the Mansion, the day I took this picture was the same day that the Judges daughter Mary Died. And only after looking at this picture in zoom, did I notice what seem to be a woman floating in front of the main door of the Mansion!) " Can you see Her??? is it "Mary?" or, the lady of the "Legend of Ghost Hollow?" And one other Ghost story that has to do with the Legend, that a lot of people don't know about is: the Walker Family had told their children when they went out to play not to get close to the well, where their father and mother would go out to get water. Because they would tell them that a man eating Monster lived down at the bottom of the well, and anyone that would look down the well, the Monster would grab there Soul and make them jump down into the Well, where the Monster would eat them! This was a legend that the slaves had told the Walkers, either to keep the kids safe from playing and falling into the well or that their really was a monster down the Well? But in later years when the kids grew up they would say that they notice that when their Mom & Dad did go out to get water, they notice that they made it a point never to look down the Well! And all of kids said they never looked down the Well, when they grew up! and when they sold it to the the next Family, that Family had the Well filled in and covered up. To this day nobody knows where the Well is at!!
NOTE: While doing Research for our investigations into Ghost Hollow,We found some of the so called Facts of the story that had been believed to be true over the years, had been wrong! The main one was "when did this happen?" It was always told to have happen right after the Civil War. in 1865 ! Well if this is right, then how could the union troops burn down the Cabin at the end of the war? (1864) Well after going threw Hundreds of letters and documents from that time, we found papers on when this all happen ! it was the year 1853, and in late Fall or Early Winter, Plus it was said that there home they moved into, was a two story Brick House! Researchers had got the Walker Mansion mixed up with the real Home which we found to be Two story, BUT Wood!! My Research into this should how end the questions once and for all! Casper. ( Ken Bergeron ) P.S. If you are ever in Fayetteville,Ar. And want to visit Ghost Hollow, Just follow the map on our contact page, thats were we are at! And That is where she is at!!
